## Description

The Sheffield Tango Festival is an event in Sheffield dedicated to Argentine tango, bringing dancers and enthusiasts together for a programme of social dancing, live music and teaching. Its website shares festival news and practical information, including details about the programme, teachers, orchestra, DJs, venue and local accommodation. The festival’s team aims to create an experience that is friendly, inclusive and enjoyable, and invites attendees to share feedback to help shape future editions.

A highlight of the 2023 festival was the Saturday night Primavera Ball, featuring a live performance by Orquesta Típica Andariega with singer Marisol Martinez. The festival also celebrates tango through its online archive of photos, videos and memories from earlier events. Beyond the annual festival, the organisers are connected with Cambalache, which hosts monthly milongas and provides another opportunity for the local tango community to meet and dance. The website offers guidance for visitors travelling to the festival venue at King Edward VII Upper School, as well as information about getting around Sheffield and its environs.
