## Description

Sherman Theatre is a producing theatre in Cathays, Cardiff, creating and presenting work for the people of the city. As a leading producing house, it develops its own productions and curates a varied programme of theatre, with events spanning family shows, Christmas productions and drama. Its upcoming listings include The Merry Adventures of Maid Marian, Pinocchio in English and Welsh, Macbeth, Monument and Housemates. Productions can also be made in partnership, such as The Merry Adventures of Maid Marian, a Made by Sherman production in association with Theatr Iolo.

The theatre offers ways for people to take part beyond attending performances. Young people can explore performing and writing through Sherman Sherbets, Sherman Youth Theatre and introductory playwriting. Community programmes include Sherman 5, volunteering and Theatre of Sanctuary, while Sherman Makers and Players is a non-professional theatre group for adults aged 18 and over. For schools, Sherman provides behind-the-scenes tours, workshops and tailored educational activities.
