## Description

Shetland Pony & Friends Animal Therapy is an East Yorkshire organisation supporting mental and emotional wellbeing through positive experiences with animals and nature. Its welcoming, inclusive setting serves children, young people and adults, offering opportunities to find calm, build confidence and develop emotional regulation. The organisation provides one-to-one and small-group animal therapy sessions, including support for anxiety, alongside community-funded free or subsidised sessions through the Calm Connections Project. Its qualified practitioners also lead Forest School experiences focused on learning and exploring outdoors.

For visitors seeking informal activities, Shetland Pony & Friends runs open days, pony picnics, craft sessions, weekly Pony Club and birthday parties. The team can also create bespoke animal experiences for weddings, corporate wellbeing days and other special occasions. Supporters can sponsor a pony, goat or bunny from £5 per month. The organisation states that it is fully qualified, insured and safeguarding trained, and has received a five-star rating from the East Riding Licensing Team.
