## Description

The Shiki Museum, located in Dogo, Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, is dedicated to the legacy of Masaoka Shiki, a significant figure in Japanese literature. Established to foster a deeper appreciation for both Matsuyama and literature among visitors, the museum serves multiple roles. It is an intellectual recreation space for local citizens, a hub for extracurricular learning for students, a research facility for scholars, and a tourist information center for visitors exploring the region.

Exhibiting a rich collection of Shiki’s works in various forms—such as haiku, tanka, and essays—this literary museum also hosts regular special exhibitions and events that highlight Shiki’s influence on modern literature. Additionally, the museum offers unique merchandise, including the original Shiki stationery series. Educational initiatives, workshops, and contests further engage poetry enthusiasts, making the Shiki Museum a vital cultural institution that celebrates and preserves the literary heritage of Japan.
