## Description

Shinrai Martial Arts provides accessible and affordable self-defence education for children and adults in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. Founded after its creator became a mother and recognised a lack of affordable classes to help children develop essential self-protection skills, the organisation aims to make martial arts and self-defence available to everyone. Its work combines free classes for children in schools, delivered through Shinrai Charity, with low-cost classes offered through Shinrai Martial Arts Club. The charity is registered with the Charity Commission, number 1198862, and focuses on helping children learn how to defend themselves. Shinrai also offers guidance for families concerned that a child may be experiencing or engaging in bullying, alongside information about its classes and services. Its programmes are intended to support children’s safety while making practical self-defence training more attainable for local communities. Shinrai Martial Arts welcomes enquiries from people looking for a nearby class and provides information about its policies for safeguarding, inclusion, health and safety, and student, parent, instructor and volunteer conduct.
