## Description

The Shin Shin Aikido Association is a UK-based non-profit organisation dedicated to teaching Ki Aikido and developing harmony between mind and body. Led by Sensei Peter Hughes, an 8th Dan with more than 50 years of practice, the Association brings together dojos and study groups across the UK. Its welcoming approach is intended for people of different ages and fitness levels, including beginners with no martial arts experience.

Through regular practice, students explore calm, flowing movements, breathing and Ki Development exercises, and safe partner techniques. Classes support posture, coordination, focus, relaxation and self-confidence, emphasising personal growth rather than competition or aggression. Members can progress from beginner to advanced practice and access online learning materials, including technique guides, videos and training resources.

The Association also offers a club finder, introductory classes, courses, events and seasonal summer schools. Newcomers can attend a first session free and wear comfortable clothing. With qualified instructors and an inclusive atmosphere, Shin Shin Aikido presents its practice as a lifelong journey, with principles that students can apply both inside and outside the dojo.
