## Description

The Société d’Histoire des Juifs de Tunisie (SHJT) is a French nonprofit association dedicated to promoting the study of Tunisian Jewish history. Founded in 1997 and based in Paris, it supports historical research, public education, and the preservation and sharing of knowledge about this community. Its activities include three conferences each year, held in person and online, as well as international colloquia, study days, and a forum where early-career researchers present their work. The association also awards the Paul Sebag Prize for outstanding academic research and organizes an annual commemoration of the December 9, 1942, roundup of Jews in Tunis. SHJT provides access to event programs and archives, publications, a bibliography reflecting decades of research, and links to related resources. It welcomes members and donations, which help fund its events and research prize. Through its programs, publications, and commemorative events, the association brings together researchers and the public to explore the history of Jews in Tunisia and encourage further scholarship.
