## Description

Shoklat is an Austin, Texas, chocolate brand founded by chef Sylvia Heisey, whose culinary background includes operating Beets Living Food Café. Inspired by studies in Paris and New York, Heisey creates small-batch confections with an emphasis on carefully selected ingredients, distinctive flavors, and handcrafted quality. The chocolates are made with fresh ingredients and single-source, fair-trade couverture intended to support ethical treatment of farmers. Each piece is hand-poured, cut, and dipped.

Shoklat offers bonbons, chocolate-covered nuts and fruits, bars, and bark. Its curated selections change with the seasons, while custom flavor creation lets customers request bespoke chocolate experiences. The brand also provides personal chocolatier services and event catering, bringing its confections to gatherings and guests. Customers can contact Shoklat about current offerings, tastings, events, or other inquiries.

Shoklat notes that nuts are used in its chocolates and that production takes place in a non-inspected home chocolate studio. The brand describes its products as gluten-free, making its production setting and allergen information relevant for prospective customers.
