## Description

Shopmobility Watford is a local charity providing free access to mobility equipment for people with permanent or temporary mobility difficulties, including needs related to age, illness or accident. Its service helps users enjoy greater independence in Watford town centre, whether shopping, visiting local facilities or spending time out with family. The charity loans manual and battery-powered wheelchairs, as well as electric scooters, for daily use within an area that includes the Atria shopping centre, Watford Museum and Watford Town Hall. Tesco Extra is not included in the service area.

Shopmobility Watford is open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 4.30pm. Users are encouraged to book by phone or email, although the charity will also try to help those who arrive without a booking. It offers information about long-term equipment loans and useful local contacts, and welcomes volunteers for office and equipment-issue duties, with training provided. The organisation also raises funds through donations, legacies and a weekly lottery that supports Shopmobility and other local charities.
