## Description

Welcome to the World Shorin-Ryu Karate-Do Federation (WSKF), a leading authority in Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate-Do founded by Hanshi Frank Grant in 1970. Inspired by the teachings of Grand Master Shoshin Nagamine, the WSKF is dedicated to promoting excellence in traditional Okinawan martial arts through its extensive network of schools in the United States and beyond. Headquartered in Troy, Ohio, WSKF fosters a spirit of community among its members, offering resources for training, ranking promotions, and participation in various events. Our federation emphasizes the importance of both karate techniques, including kata and kobudo (weapons training), and the philosophical underpinnings of martial arts. Annual international events, such as the upcoming 2024 Internationals, serve as platforms for practitioners to demonstrate their skills and deepen their understanding. The legacy of Hanshi Grant continues to inspire generations of karate practitioners, ensuring the enduring impact of Matsubayashi-Ryu Karate-Do worldwide. Join us as we honor and preserve the rich tradition of Shorin-Ryu Karate.
