## Description

Short St Gallery is a contemporary art gallery based in Broome, Western Australia, which opened in 1998. It presents Australian contemporary art, with a particular focus on Aboriginal art sourced from remote Indigenous communities and art centres. Its collection and exhibitions feature artists and works from the Kimberley, Tiwi Islands, the APY and NG Lands, the Central Desert, the Pilbara and other regional parts of Australia.

Operating across two spaces, the Gallery and the Bungalow, Short St Gallery showcases changing exhibitions alongside artworks available for purchase. The works include paintings on canvas and linen, including pieces made with acrylic and ochre, and reflect a range of artists, places and cultural stories. The gallery’s programme includes solo and group exhibitions, artist features and editorial content providing context for selected works and practices.

Customers can browse available artworks online, create a wishlist and enquire about pieces. Short St Gallery sells and ships artworks throughout Australia and internationally.
