## Description

One Earth Future (OEF) is a pioneering organization committed to fostering a world free from conflict, where sustainable peace can be achieved through the empowerment of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Founded by Marcel Arsenault, OEF operates in fragile and conflict-affected regions, particularly focusing on the Horn of Africa. The organization serves as the first provider of shariah-compliant growth capital tailored specifically for SMEs, managing the Nordic Horn of Africa Opportunities Fund, a $30 million private credit fund dedicated to Somalia.

OEF strives to address the needs of the "missing middle" — businesses too large for microfinance yet too small to attract international investment. To bolster these enterprises, OEF offers not just financial support but also customized technical assistance that aids in formalizing businesses, employee training, and overcoming growth challenges. With a commitment to enhancing local economies and contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals, One Earth Future believes that SMEs can drive both peace and prosperity across Africa and beyond.
