## Description

SIGRAUTO is the Spanish Association for the Environmental Treatment of End-of-Life Vehicles. It provides practical information and resources to help vehicle owners understand how to permanently deregister a car and ensure it is handled through Spain’s authorized treatment system. Its website explains the required procedures and documents, including how to obtain a certificate of destruction and confirmation of deregistration from the Directorate-General for Traffic.

The association helps users find authorized treatment centers, known as CATs, through regional and provincial listings, an interactive map, and a free mobile application. It also describes the vehicle depollution, dismantling, shredding, and material-separation processes involved in recycling. Visitors can explore annual statistics on vehicles treated in Spain, including breakdowns by province, month, make, and model, as well as official information on recycling and recovery rates.

SIGRAUTO also shares educational videos, publications, good-practice guidance, industry news, and event information. Its activities include national meetings focused on the management and recycling of end-of-life vehicles, alongside communication with stakeholders and the public.
