Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program

The Solomon Islands Infrastructure Program (SIIP) is a 10-year partnership between Australia and Solomon Islands aimed at creating local economic opportunities through various infrastructure projects. Launched in June 2021, SIIP has two main goals: enhancing the capacity of government and the private sector to manage infrastructure projects and delivering resilient infrastructure assets across the country to support inclusive economic growth. SIIP focuses on improving the quality and accessibility of infrastructure in Solomon Islands.

Through its projects, SIIP aims to provide greater access to international infrastructure finance, improve planning and policy settings, and construct high-quality infrastructure. The program also prioritizes skills development and capacity-building to ensure efficient planning, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure. SIIP is committed to an inclusive approach by engaging with the local communities and partnering with the government and private sector to plan, finance, build, and maintain quality assets.
