## Description

Silent Valley Safaris & Game Breeders is a family-run farming and wildlife business based near Dwaalboom, South Africa, in the Kalahari Bushveld. The enterprise began with cattle and crop farming around 35 years ago, and its founders, Hans Jeurissen and his father, Jos, expanded into hunting safaris. In 2000, the family added a specialist game-breeding operation, which has since become an important part of the business.

Silent Valley offers hunting safaris and breeds and sells game animals, including sable, roan, white-flanked impala and buffalo. Its herds include roan originating from the Kimberley area, pure Matetsi sable from Atherstone Nature Reserve, Zambian sable bloodlines from Thaba Tholo and Tembani, and buffalo from Madikwe. The farm lies adjacent to the 59,000-acre Atherstone Game Reserve and is close to Madikwe, Marakele and Pilanesberg game reserves. Through its breeding and safari activities, Silent Valley combines wildlife management with the experience and traditions of a family farm.
