## Description

Silvaforum is an information and publishing portal created by Roberto Buffi, dedicated to the natural world, forests, and places. Its articles explore the relationship between people and nature, understood as both external surroundings and inner experience. Buffi aims to make complex phenomena accessible to non-specialists, bringing together reflection, observation, and commentary on environmental and cultural themes.

The site offers essays, articles, notes, and comments across sections including nature, forests, forest reserves, natural gardens, the human spirit, and places. It also features images, conference material, media coverage, and information about the author. Recent writing considers the effects of development pressure on landscapes, biodiversity, local identity, and the character of communities. Other contributions examine forest ecosystems, fungi and lichens, regional legends, and the cultural meaning of places and literature. Silvaforum also highlights work connected with forest reserves in the Onsernone Valley and interviews with Pro Natura Ticino. Overall, the portal provides an accessible space for learning and reflection on how nature, culture, and human life are connected.
