## Description

The Dementia Prevention Center (DPC) is a medical practice focused on investigating causes of memory and cognitive problems. Led by Dr. Orehek, described on the site as a “Physician for Forgetfulness,” the center emphasizes that forgetfulness and “senior moments” may warrant evaluation rather than being assumed to be a normal part of aging. Its approach begins by looking for medical conditions and other factors that may contribute to neuron loss or changes in the brain’s white matter. The center says it works to identify the reasons behind difficulties with memory and thinking, explain its findings to patients, and help guide appropriate treatment once the underlying cause is understood. Its services include evaluation and treatment related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, with an emphasis on determining what may be driving symptoms rather than relying only on a diagnosis. The Dementia Prevention Center is located in Moosic, Pennsylvania, and offers contact by phone and email. Its website also features information about its services, a blog, and a section for booking.
