SilverSantéStudy EU is a renowned brand that focuses on investigating the determinants of mental health and well-being in the ageing population of Europe. This 5-year, €7m EC-funded project, known as the Silver Santé Study, aims to promote mental well-being among the elderly. Led by Dr Gaël Chételat from Inserm, the project is based in Caen, France, with consortium partners in France, UK, Belgium, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. The project, funded by the European Commission and with support from the University of Geneva, will run from 2016 to 2020. The researchers will conduct clinical trials involving patients with subjective cognitive decline, expert meditators, and participants over the age of 65. With a key focus on mental health and well-being, including Alzheimer's disease, the study will explore the effectiveness of various interventions on healthy ageing.
