## Description

Wadi Hilweh Information Center, established in 2009, is a vital institution located in the historic village of Silwan, Jerusalem. Dedicated to preserving the region's rich history, the center aims to shed light on the facts and narratives of Silwan while documenting the occupation's violations, particularly those carried out by settlement organizations. Situated next to the southern wall of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, Wadi Hilweh is a neighborhood that faces intense scrutiny and alteration by Israeli authorities, often referred to as the "City of David" in an attempt to erase its authentic identity. By maintaining the original name, the center combats historical distortion and fosters awareness of the area's cultural significance. Their efforts include news reports, research on historical injustices, and community outreach activities, making Wadi Hilweh Information Center a crucial hub for advocacy and education about Silwan's heritage and ongoing challenges. For further engagement, the center encourages visitors to follow their updates on various social media platforms.
