## Description

Nuova Società Italiana di Microbiologia Farmaceutica ETS (SIMiF ETS) is an Italian non-profit association bringing together professionals, university teachers and others with an interest in pharmaceutical microbiology. Renewed as a Third Sector Entity in 2023, the society traces its roots to 2002 and works to advance excellence in microbiological sciences and strengthen scientific and cultural development in Italy.

SIMiF ETS supports university education and training, encourages dialogue with institutions, and organizes conferences and professional learning opportunities. Its activities include events, courses and seminars, working groups, and educational resources for people engaged in the field. The association also shares scientific news and recommended reading, and supports publishing on pharmaceutical microbiology and related topics, including books on probiotics, prebiotics and postbiotics.

Through its annual meetings and other initiatives, SIMiF ETS provides opportunities for members to exchange knowledge and engage with current issues in microbiology. The society invites people to join and encourages supporters to contribute through Italy’s five-per-thousand tax designation.
