## Description

SIMPL Car Rentals is preparing a weekly car rental service in Hobart, Tasmania, with a planned launch in November 2026. It is designed for rideshare drivers, visitors staying a week or longer, and people who need a replacement car while theirs is being repaired. The planned first fleet comprises Chery E5 electric SUVs, with unlimited kilometres and a weekly package intended to include registration, commercial rental insurance, scheduled servicing and maintenance, and local support. Charging is not included.

Proposed rates start at $455 per week for one to three weeks and fall with longer rentals, reaching $420 per week for stays of 12 weeks or more. These are indicative prices, not daily hire rates, and remain subject to confirmation and availability. A refundable bond, damage liability and other agreement terms apply. SIMPL says rideshare customers use their own platform accounts and keep their trip earnings; vehicle, driver, insurance and platform eligibility must be confirmed before use.

Prospective customers can register interest without payment or commitment.
