Simpson Housing Services is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our mission is to house, support, and advocate for people experiencing homelessness. With over four decades of experience, we offer a range of programs and services to help individuals and families transition out of homelessness.

Our key programs include emergency shelters, supportive housing programs for youth, single adults, and families, as well as developmental and educational services for children. We are proud to be one of the first organizations in Minnesota to adopt the nationally recognized Housing First model. This model ensures that individuals and families are placed in housing immediately and are then provided with the necessary services to address any barriers they may face.

We work across the metro area, collaborating with landlords and developers to find sustainable housing options for our program participants. The majority of our participants live in scattered-site housing or individual apartments in market-rate apartment buildings, with a significant number residing in Hennepin County. In the past year alone, we have supported over 1,600 people through our programs, including 300 families with 650 children.
