SG Intl PhotoFest, also known as the Singapore International Photography Festival, is a biennial event that brings together photography enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world. The festival aims to promote and advance the art and appreciation of photography, particularly in Southeast Asia. It serves as an important platform for critical discussions and academic exploration of photography. Additionally, the festival plays a pivotal role in discovering, nurturing, and showcasing talented photographers from Southeast Asia on an international scale. Organized by DECK, an independent art space for photography, SG Intl PhotoFest also offers associate programs designed to engage the public and create a larger audience for photography. The festival firmly believes that photography should be accessible to all and seeks to cultivate a love for the art form among people from diverse backgrounds. DECK, as the organizer of the festival, is a registered Institution of a Public Character and is supported by the National Arts Council under the Major Company Scheme.
