Segretariato Italiano Studenti in Medicina (SISM) is a non-profit social promotion association that serves as the national platform for medical students in Italy. As an active member of the International Federation of Medical Students' Associations (IFMSA), SISM collaborates with global medical student associations in official partnership with the World Health Organization and the United Nations. SISM operates through its local branches, known as Sedi Locali, which form the essential units of the association.
