## Description

Sistory is a history-focused publication that explores the past through engaging, accessible stories, with particular attention to women and people whose contributions have been overlooked. Its motto, “The Past is Female Too,” reflects a strong interest in women’s history, but the site ranges widely across subjects and eras. Articles connect historical events and figures with topics including food, health, science, politics, business, music, travel, the environment, and popular culture. Readers can discover stories about pioneers such as aviator Helen Richey, historical curiosities such as London’s Great Stink, and the cultural histories behind everyday interests like seltzer and squirrels. Sistory also features recommendations for history podcasts hosted by women and recurring series that revisit notable people, places, and events. The site presents history with humor and a conversational voice, making research-driven subjects approachable without limiting its coverage to conventional accounts of major leaders and conflicts. Visitors can browse past posts and archives, search by topic, follow Sistory on social media, or subscribe for updates.
