## Description

The Festa Major de Sitges is the official celebration and cultural programme for one of the town’s major traditional festivals, presented through a dedicated website. The site covers the 2026 Festa Major and the Santa Tecla festivities, with an agenda, programme, news, event details and information about the people and organisations involved. Visitors can explore the festival’s history, popular procession, traditional figures, dances, music and other elements of Sitges’ festive heritage. The celebration includes processions, performances by local groups, fireworks and activities for children, including the Santa Tecla Matinal, where young participants bring handmade dragons, eagles, giants and big-head figures into the streets. The website also offers photographs and videos, historical materials, books, posters, programmes and poems, alongside practical information on accessibility, registration and a calm section of the procession route. It publishes updates for residents and visitors and provides links to press coverage, municipal media and social channels. The Festa Major website serves as an information and archive resource for discovering the events, traditions and community life surrounding Sitges’ annual celebrations.
