## Description

The Scandinavian Journal of Disability Research (SJDR) is an esteemed international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to promoting innovative and high-quality social research focused on disability. Established by the Nordic Network on Disability Research (NNDR), this journal aims to foster critical reflection on the experiences of individuals with disabilities across various societal contexts. Unique in its multidisciplinary approach, SJDR incorporates research from a wide array of fields, including sociology, history, cultural studies, health, and social policy. It emphasizes the idea that disability is not just an individual condition but is significantly shaped by social structures and relationships. With leadership under the newly appointed Editor-in-Chief, Professor Leslie Swartz, the journal aspires to broaden its scope to include global perspectives, especially those from the Global South. SJDR also features specialized collections, like Disability Human Rights, that explore the intersection of disability studies and human rights. By serving as a vital platform for scholars worldwide, SJDR continues to advance the dialogue surrounding disability and inclusivity.
