Founded by Wally himself, who first stepped on a skateboard in 1967, Wally Inouye has been a driving force in the skateboarding scene. Growing up in the suburbs of East Los Angeles, Wally and his crew explored every type of terrain, from the streets to school yards, hills to pools.

In the mid-seventies, Wally became involved in competing, thanks to his sister and skater Dale The Sausage Man Smith. This introduced him to a whole world of skaters including legends such as Russ Howell, Skitch Hitchcock, and Tony Alva. Over time, skateboarding became Wally's true passion, and he started like-minded initiatives such as IPS (Inouye's Pool Service), which revolutionized pool riding with its urethane cleaning technique.

In the late seventies, Wally's talent and dedication earned him recognition from the skateboarding community. He rode for Sims and traveled across the US for demos, grand openings, and contests. Wally's journey was extensively covered by Skateboarder Magazine, solidifying his position within the industry.

Today, Wally Inouye continues to make an impact. After moving to the Pacific Northwest, Wally discovered a new passion for snowboarding. He opened a skate shop in Hood River and, along with his family, organized skate and snowboard/ski camps.
