## Description

Skaters NYC is an independent editorial archive focused on skateboarding, longboards, downhill racing, and the people and communities that keep these sports moving. Its stories draw on New York City skate culture while also covering riders, events, roads, and scenes beyond the five boroughs. The site publishes interviews, event recaps, archive notes, cultural features, and practical coverage of downhill racing, including rules, gear, and speed-related topics. Readers can explore sections devoted to Skate Culture, Downhill & Racing, and Guides & Gear, alongside a collection of historical stories and rider profiles. Featured coverage includes the Maryhill Festival of Speed, the Ithaca Skate Jam, the Britannia Classic, and interviews with skaters such as Anthony Shetler and Brad Parker. Skaters NYC presents itself as an editorial resource rather than a skate shop or equipment manufacturer; its offerings are articles, archival material, and perspectives on skateboarding and longboarding. The archive preserves historical event dates and rider stories, providing a record of the culture, its events, and the people involved.
