## Description

The Colorado Snowsports Museum is a Vail-based museum dedicated to celebrating the history and people of skiing, snowboarding, and other snow sports in Colorado. Through exhibits, collections, events, and educational storytelling, it aims to inspire visitors to seek adventure and learn about the state’s snow sports heritage. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., offers free admission, and features interactive exhibits and rotating displays, including tributes to Warren Miller and Colorado snowsports milestones. Its permanent collections explore subjects such as the evolution of snowboarding and the legacy of the 10th Mountain Division, with digital resources that deepen access to these stories. The Colorado Snowsports Hall of Fame recognizes athletes, pioneers, sport builders, and other influential figures; more than 250 people have been inducted since its first class in 1977. The museum also hosts screenings, talks, award celebrations, and Vail history walking tours, and offers event rentals. Its store sells books and apparel, while donations, memberships, volunteering, sponsorships, and commemorative flag tributes help support its mission.
