## Description

The Skin of Color Society (SOCS) is a professional dermatologic organization focused on advancing health equity and excellence in patient care. It works to improve dermatology through research, education, mentorship, and advocacy, while promoting greater diversity and inclusion across the field. Its efforts are intended to support better care for patients with skin of color and help move dermatology forward.

SOCS serves members and professionals as well as patients and the public. Its educational offerings include video content about skin of color, and its Center for Leadership provides opportunities for people interested in strengthening their leadership skills in dermatology. The Society also shares news and information to help its community stay engaged with developments in the field.

Through its Global Access Membership Fund, SOCS invites donations to help cover membership costs for international colleagues in nations where resources are scarce. The organization connects its community through membership, educational initiatives, leadership development, and advocacy, reflecting its commitment to inclusive progress in dermatologic care.
