## Description

Skjern Festuge is a volunteer-run association that brings Skjern and the surrounding area together for summer celebrations in Fredsskoven. Its annual festivities center on Musik i Fredsskoven, held on the third Saturday in June, where people of different generations gather for live music, food, and a relaxed festival atmosphere beneath the trees. The event is part of a multi-day program, with additional activities on Thursday and Friday that may vary from year to year.

In 2026, Skjern Festuge takes place from June 18 to 20. Thursday’s program opens with bingo and the naming of Årets flisepudser, while Friday features singing and music during the day, followed by a Mallorca-style pork feast with entertainment from Volf Duo. Saturday offers concerts from noon until midnight, alongside food stalls, bouncy castles, and opportunities to enjoy time with friends and family. The association also shares event programs for viewing or download and provides a photo gallery of past celebrations. Skjern Festuge describes its work as community-led and created with care.
