## Description

SkyDock ApS develops an automatic docking and charging station for vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Its SkyDock system enables compatible autonomous drones to recharge without human assistance, supporting continuous or remote operations. The station works with small and large UAVs that have been retrofitted with a special extension connected to the aircraft’s battery. For docking, the drone approaches the station and aligns with its mechanism; hooks then engage to secure the connection.

Designed for flexible installation, SkyDock can be mounted on vertical or horizontal surfaces, including ceilings, roofs and bridges. The system is described as mobile, scalable and quick to install or dismantle, and it is built to operate in all weather conditions. It can use portable batteries or solar energy and is intended to reduce collision risks from ground obstacles.

SkyDock highlights structural health monitoring as an application, using autonomous drones to inspect bridges, offshore oil stations and industrial buildings. These operations can provide access to remote locations, round-the-clock monitoring and real-time data collection.
