## Description

Skylar Sadlier’s personal technology blog shares practical projects, tutorials, and commentary across home automation, programming, servers, and gaming. Rather than presenting a commercial product catalogue, the site documents tools and solutions Sadlier has built, configured, or tested, with an emphasis on useful, hands-on guidance.

Home automation is a central focus, especially Home Assistant, Node-RED, smart lighting, sensors, thermostats, and integrations. Featured projects include an internet monitoring setup that measures latency and packet loss and can reboot a modem automatically, plus an app for controlling Home Assistant from Pebble smartwatches. The blog also covers self-hosted infrastructure, including Unraid, MQTT, Nextcloud, Redis, and server monitoring with InfluxDB, Telegraf, and Grafana.

Programming articles draw on work with Symfony and Doctrine, while other posts explore Matrix chat bots, local development tunnels, and data synchronization. Gaming-related content includes game server monitoring, container recovery, and faster downloads through a CDN. Overall, Skylar.Tech serves as an independent resource for readers interested in building, maintaining, and improving connected homes, software projects, and personal server environments.
