## Description

Skyrland is an interactive exhibition and visitor destination in downtown Selfoss, Iceland, exploring the country’s food culture with a special focus on skyr, the traditional dairy food. Designed to engage all the senses, the experience presents skyr’s distinctive history and its renewed popularity, including its availability in markets around the world. Visitors can explore installations inspired by milk and Icelandic creation stories, a handcrafted 1:50 model of a traditional turf farm, and an immersive display evoking the scents of the Icelandic summer. Photographs and unusual historical objects offer further insight into the story of skyr and everyday life in Iceland. Skyrland is located in the Old Dairy building, part of Selfoss’s new town centre. Next door, the Ísey Skyr Bar serves skyr bowls and smoothies. The wider building also houses a food hall with eight restaurants, along with a craft beer tap selection and a wine and cocktail bar, giving visitors options to eat and drink alongside their exhibition visit. Skyrland welcomes individual visitors and groups.
