## Description

SLAP’D, which stands for Surviving Life After A Parent Dies, is a community-centered platform created to help teenagers cope with the loss of a parent. Described as social media for grieving teens, it aims to foster hope and connection through shared experiences and young people’s voices. The site features personal stories and blog posts by teen contributors, offering perspectives on grief, adjusting to life after loss, returning to school, family relationships, holidays, and self-care. Readers can browse posts by category and explore tributes, learn about the organization’s story and service model, and find information about its leadership, supporters, and partners. SLAP’D also provides ways to participate, including a teen board, contributor submissions, and opportunities to publish personal work. Its Professional Center and Ask section extend the site’s support-oriented resources, while FAQs and contact information help visitors learn more or get in touch. Through its online content and community features, SLAP’D gives bereaved teens a place to encounter relatable experiences and feel less alone.
