# SLC Ocean - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `slcocean.co.nz` ## Description SLC Ocean is a New Zealand start-up developing plant-based nutrition from the ocean. Focused on what it calls “Ocean Plant-Based Nutrition,” the venture aims to expand Aotearoa’s modern food offering alongside the country’s traditional food sector. Its work centers on marine plants such as macroalgae and seaweeds, which it seeks to turn into versatile, environmentally friendly products for contemporary consumer markets. The company is working to establish a food production system in New Zealand that requires no freshwater, produces no methane, and can support environmental restoration by taking up nitrogen and phosphates from the water. Its intended products include high-quality marine plant protein for human consumption, as well as a wider range of associated ingredients and products created through the production process. SLC Ocean presents its approach as a contribution to the next generation of sustainable foods and invites partners and others interested in sustainable food production to get in touch. The venture is part of SLC Group and describes itself as exploring modern food while investing in the future. ## Industries - 🍔 Food and Drink - 🍔 Vegetarian and Vegan _(under Food and Drink)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idU8O61djh/w/1130/h/730/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1793293060595) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Corn Harvest | #92870a | accent | | Blue Zodiac | #132453 | dark | | Gimblet | #bdba66 | light | ## Fonts - aktiv-grotesk — asset _(custom)_ - aktiv-grotesk — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
