## Description

The Society for Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies (SLLS) is an international association of researchers dedicated to advancing the study of people and societies over time. Established in 2012, it grew from Longview, a think tank focused on longitudinal and life course studies. Its members represent a wide range of disciplines and share an interest in the value of longitudinal and life course perspectives.

SLLS promotes collaboration and understanding across disciplines and research studies, while providing a forum for discussion and the exchange of new ideas. Its work encourages researchers to make measurements more comparable across studies and over time, with attention to ethical and data protection issues. The Society also supports the use of comparisons within and across societies to strengthen the scientific and policy value of research.

Members and visitors can engage with the Society through its conference, events, awards, groups and networks, and early-career activities. Its resources include a journal, study bank, forum, opportunities, and archive.
