## Description

Slow Ways is a brand that aims to create a national walking network throughout Great Britain. Their initiative involves connecting all towns, cities, and even villages through a network of walking routes. By utilizing existing paths, ways, trails, and roads, people can walk or wheel between neighboring settlements and combine them to create longer distance trips. The Slow Ways network currently consists of over 8,000 routes stretching for more than 120,000km. Created by 700 volunteers during the 2020 lockdown, these routes are now being reviewed and verified. This collaborative effort aims to inspire and support more people to walk more often, further, and for various purposes. The benefits of Slow Ways include promoting health and wellbeing, helping to tackle climate and ecological emergencies, saving money, and improving the environment. By participating in Slow Ways, users can contribute to the creation of a comprehensive walking network that is accessible, enjoyable, and beneficial for all.
