## Description

SLV RETAC, the San Luis Valley Regional Emergency Medical and Trauma Advisory Council, supports coordination of emergency medical and trauma services across Colorado’s San Luis Valley. It operates within Colorado’s regional RETAC framework, established under state law to help develop and carry out comprehensive plans for emergency care. Guided by the theme “One Mission – One Team,” the council brings regional stakeholders together through committees focused on medical direction, trauma, and EMS and medical directors.

SLV RETAC provides information and resources for regional providers, EMS personnel, first responders, and other community partners. Its website features materials on education, injury prevention, mass-casualty incidents, grants and awards, security, transport, and regional projects. Visitors can also find council leadership and documents, provider information, events, news, and achievements. By sharing guidance and connecting people involved in emergency response and trauma care, SLV RETAC helps strengthen collaboration and support the delivery of these services throughout the region.
