## Description

Small Axe Project is a vibrant initiative dedicated to the reimagining and revitalization of Caribbean intellectual and cultural criticism. Established in 2002 and administered by the not-for-profit Small Axe Incorporated, the project encompasses three main platforms: Small Axe, sx salon, and sx art. 

The peer-reviewed print journal Small Axe serves as a vital space for critical discourse, challenging dominant narratives about the Caribbean. Meanwhile, sx salon functions as a dynamic digital forum that explores Caribbean literature and its evolving aesthetic forms. Lastly, sx art highlights the brilliance of Caribbean visual creativity through thoughtful presentations and dialogues. 

Together, these interconnected platforms aim to expand conversations around critical themes such as class, gender, race, and culture within the Caribbean context. With the support of notable foundations like The Ford Foundation and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, Small Axe Project embodies the spirit of dissent and creativity, enriching the discourse surrounding Caribbean modernities and fostering a deeper understanding of the region's cultural legacy.
