## Description

SNAP to Health is an initiative designed to improve nutrition and health outcomes for low-income individuals and families participating in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program. As part of the New America Foundation, SNAP to Health serves as a virtual town hall, inviting community members, organizations, and stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions regarding nutrition assistance in the United States.

SNAP, once known as the Food Stamp Program, supports over 42 million Americans, playing a vital role in combating food insecurity, especially during challenging times like the COVID-19 pandemic. WIC provides targeted nutritional support to approximately 6.2 million vulnerable women and children, offering essential benefits such as nutritious food packages, education, and health referrals.

Through a range of resources, including policy reports, webinars, and interactive forums, SNAP to Health seeks to foster collaboration and innovation to enhance the effectiveness of these programs in promoting healthier lifestyles across communities.
