## Description

Snaptun Kajakklub is a sea-kayaking club based in Snaptun, near the entrance to Horsens Fjord in Denmark. With around 70 members aged 30 to 75, the club welcomes both beginners and experienced paddlers who want to enjoy kayaking, exercise, nature and companionship. Its clubhouse is close to the water, with launches from the nearby marina and jolle harbour. The surrounding area offers varied routes around Hjarnø, towards Pøt and Borre Knob, and to Alrø, depending on weather and wind. Members can explore fjord landscapes, coastal scenery and local wildlife, including seals, porpoises and numerous bird species.

Beginners must complete the club’s IPP2 release course and meet follow-up paddling and rescue-skill requirements before using club kayaks independently. The course is normally held in May and costs DKK 1,000; annual membership is DKK 1,200. Membership includes access to club kayaks and equipment, group outings, regular club evenings, winter talks and training opportunities. The club also provides kayak booking, activity information and guidance for members and visiting paddlers.
