# SNCC Digital - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `snccdigital.org` ## Description SNCC Digital Gateway is a documentary and educational website that explores the history and continuing influence of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), the only national civil rights organization led by young people. Organized in 1960 and mentored by Black organizer Ella Baker, SNCC brought young activists together with local community leaders across the Deep South to build grassroots organizations and pursue lasting change. The website presents SNCC’s work through historical storytelling and a range of learning resources. Visitors can explore people, timelines, personal voices, maps, and material about life inside SNCC, as well as sections on the movement’s influence on organizing today. Its content examines voter registration and SNCC’s broader challenge to the political, economic, and social structures of white supremacy. By documenting how community-based organizing empowered Black communities and helped transform the nation, the Digital Gateway connects the movement’s history with contemporary struggles for democracy and voting rights. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 History _(under Science and Education)_ - 🧪 Education _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [facebook](https://facebook.com/snccdigital) - [twitter](https://twitter.com/snccdigital) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idUGGG2mJY/w/223/h/223/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791068879509) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Tiber | #09293a | accent | | Persian Plum | #6f1c1f | dark | | White | #ffffff | light | ## Fonts - Arial — asset _(custom)_ - Arial — asset _(custom)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
