## Description

The Billiard and Snooker Heritage Collection preserves and shares the history of cue sports through the Norman Clare Collection, based at Thurston, formerly E.A. Clare and Son, on St. Anne Street in Liverpool. Described by the site as probably the world’s largest collection of billiards and snooker memorabilia, it brings together material connected with the games, their equipment and the people who shaped their development.

The website offers visitors several ways to explore this heritage, including collection pages, a cue collection, additions to the archive, and articles and lectures by Norman Clare. Its featured writing covers subjects such as billiard-table manufacturers, cue-making firms, balls, chalk and table design. Company histories include E.A. Clare and Son, a Merseyside billiards, snooker and pool business founded in Liverpool, as well as Peradon and other manufacturers. The collection also documents local business history and the personalities associated with it. Alongside its educational resources, the site provides links and a shop, supporting further discovery of billiards and snooker history.
