## Description

Snowdown of Durango Inc. Started back in 1979, Snowdown emerged as a response to the dark winter days that left the people and commerce of Durango feeling down. With the vision and dedication of its founder, John Murrah, Snowdown was created to uplift the spirits of the community and bring prosperity to the land. This winter extravaganza offers a wide range of events and activities that cater to all interests. From the Bloody Mary contest and chili cook-off to the golf parade and follies, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Year after year, Snowdown continues to spread jollity, commerce, and mirth among the people, becoming a well-known celebration even beyond the borders of the Land. As a non-profit corporation, Snowdown's mission is to unite the community and create lasting memories. With a team of dedicated volunteers, Snowdown has become a beloved tradition that brings people together during the winter months. Join in on the fun and experience the magic of Snowdown, the ultimate winter celebration in Durango.
