Welcome to SNU, the abbreviation for Selskabet for Naturlærens Udbredelse (The Society for the Dissemination of Natural Science). Founded by H.C. Ørsted in 1824, SNU is a renowned organization dedicated to promoting natural science and its understanding. On our website, you'll find information about our engaging lectures, which can be accessed on the homepage or under the Foredrag (Lectures) tab, where you can also find abstracts for upcoming talks. We invite you to explore our rich history and get to know the people leading our society today. Under the Foredrag tab, you'll also find links to our YouTube channel, where you can watch our lectures from 2020-2022. Additionally, we have an exhibition titled H.C. Ørsted på ny - Skønheden i Naturen (H.C. Ørsted Revisited - The Beauty of Nature) that has been showcased at various locations, including the Steno Museum in Aarhus. Parts of the exhibition are currently displayed at Ørsted in Gentofte. For those interested in the topics of renewable energy and electrification, we offer thought-provoking lectures on subjects such as Energiøer – en Mars-mission for energisystemet (Energy Islands - A Mars Mission for the Energy System) and Power-to-x og fremtidens energiforsyning (Power-to-X and the Future Energy Supply).
