Seoul National University Nuclear Fuel Cycle & Nonproliferation Lab (SNUNFC) is an international and diverse group of researchers dedicated to advancing the field of nuclear engineering. Led by Prof. Sungyeol Choi, our team comprises over twenty researchers from various nationalities and expertise levels, including interns and research professors. At SNUNFC, we focus on studying all aspects of the Nuclear Fuel Cycle, ranging from reactor core chemistry and CRUD build-up to the final disposal of Spent Nuclear Fuel in a Geological Disposal Facility. Our interdisciplinary research areas welcome students and researchers from disciplines such as nuclear engineering, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, and materials engineering. We also encourage collaboration with those exploring areas of humanities such as policy. Our aim is to tackle existing nuclear-related problems while furthering national and international scientific knowledge in the field. We strive to offer innovative solutions and advancements in nuclear engineering through our cutting-edge research, academic publications, conferences, and patents.
