## Description

SoCal NAVHDA is the Southern California chapter of NAVHDA, a nonprofit organization serving versatile hunting dog breeds and the people who work with them. Its mission is to help dogs reach their best testing and hunting potential while building members’ skills, experience, and enjoyment of time afield with their dogs. The chapter welcomes novice and experienced handlers, including members who want to improve a dog’s hunting abilities without competing and those pursuing the Versatile Champion title.

SoCal NAVHDA offers training days, testing opportunities, training seminars, and instruction in the effective use of electronic training aids. The chapter also provides veterinary health advice and hosts events that encourage learning and camaraderie among hunters and dog owners. Its website lists Natural Ability and Utility tests, along with training and testing locations, test descriptions, and a rattlesnake avoidance clinic. Membership is available through annual dues, and the chapter shares news, calendars, gallery content, and information about its board and member dogs.
