Their vision is to achieve equitable health and development for all, which is reflected in their engagement with communities, professional bodies, and governments.

Sochara recognizes the importance of addressing social disparities in health by analyzing data through an equity lens, considering factors like caste, class, gender, and geography. Through research, innovation, and reflection, Sochara approaches community health action within the socio-political-cultural-economic-environmental context. They also provide fellowship and training programs to nurture the next generation of community health leaders.

Sochara actively participates in various health movements and collaborates with organizations like the Global Peoples' Health Movement and the National Rural Health Mission. With clusters based in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Bhopal, Sochara works towards their objective of Health for All
